Funnily enough, I had the "Queue at the surgery" experience today, for the onlytime. Yesterday I went for a blood test, questioned some of the load of medication I was on, the nurse doing the test agreed, I tried to book a Drs Appt asap at reception, to discuss the over medication I felt was happening, and couldn't then, but was told to turn up c 8.00 this morning, which I did, and in person was given an appointment for less than an hour later - with a REAL Doctor, actually face to face, in person!!! Can't remember ever ever getting one without at least 40 mins hanging on to 'phone, listening to rubbishy semi-musical sounds.....
Almost like the "olden days", when you just turned up at the Drs, and, in our village, sat in the entrance hall on one of a row of ornately carved dining chairs until Dr popped out from his office, and called you in!!! No hard to get appointments in those days!
