Sarah Cox is living at 77 Strone Road in the 1911 Census (at least that is what I believe), as a visitor in a household of people I don't recognise. I had thought it was probably a way of being near to her children. I will have a closer look at those death/burials, thank you!

Yes she is at that address in 1911

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWF4-GG1
- added says Sarah married 53 years 12 children 7 living 5 died

Edit to add

Alice married Harry Diegel in 1902

Alice Matilda PENN age 19 father Edwin

The 12 children part was interesting as I have only ever found 11.

As well as being for my own interest and family tree, I am currently focused on my 3 x GGP and family because I am trying to help a DNA cousin identify her unknown Grandfather. He is likely to be the son of one of John and Sarah's sons OR the son of the son of one of John and Sarah's children. I really want to be sure I know who was alive and when, and where they all were, and also that I have all the known children, before I recommend to her where she might need some targeted DNA testing to get some closer matches.

Thanks both for all your help - it is much appreciated.

Two of the girls Martha & Elizabeth Jane Cox married and they can later be found living/died in Bath Somerset - do you have these details?

Yes, Ladyhawk, thank you, I have those details. Elizabeth Jane is my 2 x GGM

For info, regarding the other children:

Son John COX (b 1867) married Clara STRAIN
Son Joseph Daniel COX (b 1870) married Bertha Mary OSMAN
Son Robert COX (b 1878) married (1) Edith Elizabeth CADGE & (2) Augusta FURBER
Son Arthur Herbert COX (b 1887) married (1) Ethel DANSIE & (2) Clarrie Moss FRANCIS

I have nothing for daughter Ann COX (b.1862) past the 1871 census
I have nothing for son Thomas COX (b 1869) past the 1871 census
I have nothing for son Frederick William COX (b 1875) past the 1891 census

With the early deaths of Edmund and Sarah, perhaps these three make up the five children that have apparently died by 1911 but where is the 12th child? Given that they have turned up on no records so far, I would be inclined to say that "missing" child might be one of the five dead??

I definitely need to spend some more time on the deaths and burials to try and confirm.

Hello! Thank you! I have found this thread to be very helpful.
Do you have further information regarding:

-Robert COX (b 1878) married (1) Edith Elizabeth CADGE & (2) Augusta FURBER ?
Robert was my great grandfather and my grandfather was born from that first marriage. I know she passed away when he was around 4yo.
Any info is much appreciated.
