You are most welcome. It is so nice to know George wasn’t forgotten.

ianwade100, what a great help from our fantastic group of researchers! If you can, a way to thank Rootschat would be to add your two West home children & all the basic info from both threads to the Rootschat Homechild database!

Hi jj
Sorry for the delay I'm quite busy atm
You lot are amazing researchers if I can help I will. Although I'm not very tech minded.  I consent to you sorting it if tou can. If not what data of my family would you like sending onto the forum? I'm not sure how to do this but I'll give it a go.
Sincere thanks again
Ian

If you want to give it a go when you have time...George isn't listed yet, so you can go ahead and create his page. Here is the form...don't click on ads...click on the actual page behind.
http://surname.rootschat.com/lexicon/dbsig/dbsig-add.php?dbsig_num=1#top_data

You can start by adding his name birth details & parents, shipping details & dates...
Take your time. This is honouring your relative!
Here is his George Thomas West's Juvenile inspection report card for his BHC number, etc.
You can add extra details from it in the notes section.

Once you are finished hit save record. Now you'll be a pro at this and you can fill in your direct ancestor home child page, but first look for him in the database, so as not to duplicate.

Well done! If doing it a little at a time is your speed, go for it. I'd suggest making notes in a word program first for any longer entries.
It was the previous Rootschatters who did all your work, though...& Kudos to BerlinBob who thoughtfully put the Home Child database together! Cheers to them for all they do for the Home Children! J.J.
