Hello,
Does anyone know how often soldiers were granted leave during WW1? Also, did it differ between soldiers who were stationed in the U.K. and those who were serving overseas?
Many Thanks

Officers were allowed leave by right of rank.
OR's were only allowed leave by application.
This also applied to UK based soldiers although
the likelihood was that they would be granted
leave at a greater frequency.
