Lean Brazil 1891 yo 1989 kent

Hello all I'm looking for some information on my Great grandmother lean Brazil born in Kent her common law husband was joe Lee.
Joe Lee Parents were Walter Lee and leviner Lee I believe that Joe and lean travelled around Ashford Kent

Her name was Lena, not Lean.   You need to amend your post.

Her death reg shows she was b 26.3.1891 but there is no corresponding birth under the surname Brazil.

Was Brazil her maiden name or a former married name?

Newspaper report in 1914, lena Brazil and Elizabeth Ripley were charged with stealing turnips. Parents were involved in an altercation with the police. The women were fined 20s, George De Vine 20s and George Ripley 50s.

Could George De Vine be Lena's father?

Is this "Lena" and Joe LEE in 1939 - in Caravan No 1.Hilders Field, Tenterden? Lily and Joe LEE and various children, however Lily's year of birth is 1896.

There is a Joe LEE (a gypsy) died age 49 in May 1937 in Folkstone Hospital.
I think his father was Walter - a “musician”

Difficult to make much progress here, but I wonder if that is because information in the opening post is not quite correct.

1939, East Ashford, Kent at Gipsy Camp Lane are James BRAZIL born 1877 and Mary A BRAZIL born 6 Aug 1870 and some younger BRAZIL family members. Note there is something written to the left of the entries about Police and checks – not clear unfortunately.

Also in same Gipsy Camp Lane is the HILDEN family. Maria HILDEN born 1901, I think might have been a BRAZIL before marriage.

Same address is Eleanor BARTON born 1st March 1899 – Could this be “Lean”. With her are a number of BARTON children born 1920-1933 in Kent area with mother’s maiden name BRAZIL on registrations. A couple of them show up with Eleanor here in 1939 (2 sons are dealers) and other records are closed.
On someone’s Anc* tree there is Billy / William Barton (1929-2016) and a younger girl Letty (1931-2020) as being children of Joe Lee and Lena Brazil.

I haven’t yet worked out if or how everyone at this same address is related. Not even sure if I am completely off track here. The Anc* tree may well be wrong, but the 1939 document in Ashford is of interest I think.

That looks promising Neale, better than the Joe and Lily I found in 1939, especially if Joe did die in 1937.  (However, is the op certain that he has the correct Joe LEE as "husband" of Lena/Lean?)

I wonder where BARTON comes in? Will continue looking ...
