« Reply #144 on: Friday 25 February 05 20:12 GMT (UK) »
Meg, I found what I needed on Jasper ( at least most of it, still no divorce or kids for him and Mary) so you need not look for him.  But Thank you for your kind offer to help us all.  Leagen

hi Megan -I would think you're inundated with requests - can I please add mine. My late mother had an aunt that emigrated to the USA. Her name was Maud Jefferies - Maud was born in 1887 in Bristol England and we think she must have gone anytime from 1910. I know she married a Russian Jew and that he was a doorman at the Waldorf Astoria in New York and that they either lived or had property on Long Island and that they lost money in the Wall St crash. I have a picture of them  on a roof top which I believe is in New York. I know of no other facts than that. I found a Maud Jefferies on the Ellis Island site but I know that isn't her. I know this is maybe looking for a needle in a haystack  - many thanks in anticipation.

Djgj...

Do you know her married name? That would make it alot easier to try and find her on the census.

I am trying to trace my grandparents on the 1910 census. The earliest record of my grandfather HERBERT TAYLOR [ B. 1883]in America was 1808.I am not sure when my grandmother  AGNES SCHOFIELD [B.1885] came to America but they married on the 19th November at St.James' s Church New Bedford in the County of Bristol,Mass.Their witnessess were John Lees Whitehead and Maria KnowlesThis is the last piece of the jigsaw puzzleand it would be supberb if I can trace them around that  time.Would it be possible to give me the census details of John Lees Whitehead since Whitehead is another of the family namesAny info much appreciated

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I am looking for John Lockard Logan in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 censuses.   He was born in Scotland in 1833 - parents Robert Logan and Janet (Conning) Logan, both born in Scotland.  John L. Logan married Mary M. Ware in 1859 in Hortonia, Outagamie Co., Wisconsin and lived there until his death in 1907.  He may have been in Outagamie Co. before 1860 or perhaps elsewhere in Wisconsin.
