Looking for suggestions for cause of death and maiden surname of mother.
Unfortunately not the best image. Certificate from 1887.

Cause of death: carcinoma lingua (cancer of the tongue)
As for M.S.... I think it starts with M
c
or M
ac
, but I'm stumped for the rest.

I'm starting to rethink the Mc/Mac start. Could it just be an M; he puts a big loop at the end of a lot of capital letters, and there could be a break in the ink, making it look like a
c
?

The M in M.B (above entry) has a large flourish. It does look like Mcaskle though.

Thank you everyone. Much appreciated.
I believe it could be Meikle now looking at other family trees.
