Its a bit of a diversion from the thread but thanks so much to Ray T for posting those maps of the  relevant area in Manchester in 1849 and 1889, which are fascinating! Great stuff  ;)

Dorothy, why do you think something to Samuel's brother? Is it from family stories or something you have come across?

Samuel and John's mother was showing as widowed by the time of the 1881 census. By the time of the 1891, Mary looks to have remarried, to a Samuel Goodwin. From your family tree on Family Search, I think you have all these census entries?

There was a son showing in 1891, 11 yr old Benjamin R(obert) Goodwin but likely he is from Samuel Goodwin's first marriage (mother's maiden name is showing as Coleman on Benjamin's birth index entry). I suppose, if the story is correct, it could also connect to him rather than John Spencer Cooper.

On the 1911 census, Benjamin is showing as married and living at 7 Victoria (St?) Altrincham. His death, at the age of 58, was registered in 1936 in Bucklow, Cheshire.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been helping me with this about my great grandfather's family.
My great grandfather's name is Samuel Benjamin Cooper. He married isobel povey. What I'm trying to find out is if at all possible. If my great grandfather Samuel had any siblings. From what I've been told by a family member. One of our ancestors family is buried in angle meadow. It's believed that it's my great grandfather's brother but I don't know his name. Also a family member of my great grandfather's brother.
I've been trying to find Samuel Benjamin Cooper's family. But I can't find any. Except for his wife and children.
If anyone can help me with anything at all I would really appreciate it.
And thank you all for what you have done for me these last couple days.

I'm really sorry that I haven't replied back sooner. It's just that I've had a headache for a few days.

Thank you all again everyone.
Kind regards Dorothy
