Crockart Family

Looking for anything about the Crockart family pre 1850.

In particular from my own line, the parents of Robert Crockart who married Christian Wilson around 1820. Their first son Robert was born in 1824 and they had further children, Andrew, William and Ann.

I hope you get this message as I noticed that it was posted a few years ago.

I'm currently doing the Crockart family tree (my Papa's line). I've managed to get back one further generation than Robert Crockart, but I'm still progressing through it.

The Crockart's that are in NZ are coming over for a visit in a few months so I'd like to go as far back as possible.

I have the information at home (I'm at work at the moment). I will provide you with what I've found so far. May I ask who you are? Are you from the Crockart line also?

William Crockart b. 27 July 1813 at Methven, m. 3 November 1834 Elisabeth Smith of Couper Angus.
Children -  William, Hugh, Ann, Elisabeth, Ann, Margaret, Robert. 
Ann married James Fenton [g.grandfather]

I am so sorry about being late but I just read your message about your Crockart Family from Perthshire today and I am related to the same family.  They are my mum's side.  Your Robert Crockart was brother to my " Ann Crockart " who was married to Henry Robertson,  did you find out more farther about your side yet?

Ann Crockart and Henry Robertson (5th)

Lovely top hear from you.  The Crockart family are on my husbands side and as yet I have not done a lot of research however this is what I do have:
William Crockart   born circa. 1780 – 8   married  Ann Grigor
Thier son William - b 27 July1813   d. 14 January 1870  m.  1 November 1834 Elisabeth Smith  b 10 October 1809 in Couper Angus Perthshire
Thier children were -

William   b. 2 March 1836
Hugh      b. 18 November 1838
Ann      b. 10 January 1841
Elisabeth   b. 16 April 1843
Ann      b. 19 March 1846       d. 15 June 1937 m James FENTON
Margret   b. 30 October 1848

Ann and James FENTON were my husbands great great grandparents.   I do have a photo of Ann taken not long before she died.   If you still feel that this family link into your Crockarts I would be happy to share the photo with you.   Please email me on *
