Drumaquaren, village or farm name?
« on: Monday 20 February 23 04:01 GMT (UK) »
I have a number of ancestors where it is said that they were born/died in Drumaqueran, County Antrim, Northern Ireland eg John Moore Knox 1892 - 2 July 1985. Is Drumaqueran a town/village /area or the name of a farm/home? I cant find any reference in Google Maps etc.

OpenStreetMap shows the location of Drumaqueran townland - it's east of Ballymoney.

My reading of "townlands" says persons living there were either tenants or landlord. As said in previous post i'm interested in Charles Knox 1845-31 July 1925 and wonder if his father or grandfather was the landlordof Drumaquaren. Any thoughts?
