Latest update:
Looking at the Cheshire Parish record project database, I have figured out the following:
Thomas Dodd & Mary Evans married 1757
They had 3 sons named Thomas
Born 1758,1765 &1768.The earlier 2 must have died.
Thomas Dodd and Mary Williamson married 1774
This means Thomas, the son of Thomas and Mary Evans could not possibly marry Mary Williamson. He was only six years old in 1774.
This Thomas is likely to have been son of Edward, who was born 1754. This Edward was twin brother of Thomas who married Mary Evans.
Of course, this means all children born before 1774 belong to Thomas and Mary Evans.However. Those born 1774-1794 could be from either couple. It is probable that the later ones belong to Thomas & Mary Williamson though.
Hope this makes sense. What do you think?
