William Tinkler 1876 - 1946 Asylum Death
« on: Sunday 05 February 23 18:34 GMT (UK) »
I'm wondering if anyone can help me find where I found something out in the first place, or anything to back it up

I have listed my 3rd Great Grand Uncle William Tinkler (1876 - 1946) as dying at Durham County Lunatic Asylum, Winterton by Ferryhill, Durham, England

I've no idea where I got that info from - there's no document attached about it and I can't find anything to prove it, however, I know I can't have pulled it out of thin air

Info that might help - son of another William Tinkler (1837 - 1897) and Sarah Anderson (1835 - 1916)
He was born in W Pelton, Durham, England
Possibly married a Mary Strain but haven't managed to verify that yet

Thank you for any help!

There is a man of this name in the Durham County Mental Hospital, Winterton, on the 1939 register. I'm thinking that's where you got it from?
