I noticed a familiar name as I've come across it in many of my searches.

William Walter might have been this one, No others are shown so far:

Ruabon Denbighshire
Baptism -
6 July 1833 William Walter, s of John (brick maker) and Mary Davies of Acrefair.

Many of my relatives came from that area.

They are unlikely to be found on the 1841census as it's missing for that area.

There is also a William Walter Davies, b c 1832-4, in  Talley. Llandilofawr, Carmarthensire. Parents - David  (a farmer) and Anne

but probably still there in 1881

So probably the Ruabon W, W.

He looks to be the brother of my gg grandfather Jacob, also a son of John Davies (Brickmaker) and Mary, abode Acrefair, who was baptised 2/8/1829 Ruabon Parish Records.

In case you don't know, the correct pronunciation of Acrefair is ~

Ak ra vi rr

and not

Acre  Fair!

Oh please...... you expect an Englishman to understand how to pronounce Welsh place names!  Not a chance!! Its bad enough trying to untangle people with the surname Davies! I thought Greenhalgh in Lancashire was bad  I suppose it could be worse, I'm thinking Jones would be on a different level in Wales lol!!
