Help finding census for my 3rd great grandad after 1911 - Coventry
« on: Wednesday 25 January 23 17:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Today I was wondering where my 3rd great grandfather Henry Timms 1848-1934 lived  in his later years. The last census I have of him is the 1911 census where he was 63 years old living with his wife at 90 Stratford St, Coventry. His wife died the following year in 1912. I wonder where he lived the last twenty years of his life (he passed away in 1934)

I don't have access to anything after 1911, was there a 1921 census, or a 1931? I wonder if anyone can help me.

Hi stormi,

There was a 1921 census, which has recently been released on FindMyPast. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to do look-ups of the 1921 census for copyright reasons. However, from the free index on FindMyPast, I can tell you that Henry was living at 22 Alexandra Road, Rugby, Warwickshire, with Joseph, Annie and 3 others. The 1931 Census was destroyed in a fire in 1942.

I can see that Henry's daughter, Annie, married Joseph Jones in 1908, so he was living with his daughter and son-in-law in 1921.
