Stainton? Strathlea? Are these possibilities?

I’m in Australia, so don’t have local knowledge of the region, but these are what I think I’m hearing  :)

The speaker was born 1878 in Blaydon/Winlaton, Durham and died 1970. The recording took place most likely between 1968-1970. The speaker lived in Durham and Newcastle throughout her life but of course, I'm trying to learn about the speaker's parents.

Have you found the speaker and/or her parents in censuses that would show where they were born?

.. the father must have left "the word we're having a hard time deciphering" and come over to Durham and then married her.

That seems to imply that he was from somewhere other than Durham, or the county.
