Hi

I went here :

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html

and assuming you have intel hardware you'll be able to update all your drivers.

I can't see why an out of date driver would cause the problem but in my case updating to the latest driver fixed the problem. Hopefully it'll help in your case as well.

Good luck

Martin

It looks like FMT have altered the software to get you to buy the upgrade.

I am thinking of changing to RootsMagic, cheaper then paying for the FMT upgrade.

Martin, I have a MAC OS so no updates are required. I have FTM 2019. Been in contact with Mackiev and they say it’s an issue with Ancestry and are in contact with them. I’ll just have to wait and see. Thanks for your help. Catherine

John

I use Roots Magic primarily to sync my Ancestry trees to my Laptop.

Roots Magic works well with the bonus of error checking tools like duplicates, floating branches/individuals (tree count feature) as well as checking dates are sequential ie baptism after birth etc.

Once corrected they can be sync’d back to Ancestry.

The Syncing is manual once you have downloaded the full tree and media and it can be a bit tedious if you leave it too long between updating Ancestry and syncing to Roots Magic.

Yes I have had a look at several programs & it seems Roots Magic syncs with more sites. It doesn't give you some of the gimmicks you don't use but it does what you need.

Just a matter of getting used to a new program.
