Hover, click read my messages>
Look through them to locate the one you want to reply to>
See Reply (round brown button)>
Do not touch Quote, do not touch Delete, just Relpy

Type >
Send message.

Not necessarily.  Email notification is optional.  Many people, myself included, have chosen not to receive such notification.

So would admins be able to see on an account if EMail notifications disabled?

Can any admins comment? If the two individuals have, say opted for no email notifications, is there another way to prompt them to check the site or is that the end of the road?

You only posted on the other thread on the 16th, that is only 6 days ago  .    I am sure that it is frustrating playing the waiting game but you will find it is not unusual to wait a long while for a reply or often not hear at all.  I do hope that they come on soon and that you are able to exchange details.  I assume that you have now sent them both PM's

Like Erato I have disabled email notifications, but I think this only applies to replies on actual threads posted on Rootschat.

I still get email notification of a Personal Message, so if Newbie2023 has sent PMs to the two people concerned they ought to get email notifications. Assuming of course that they haven’t changed their email addresses since they last posted on Rootschat.

I don't get emails for Private message or posts on topics.   

My profile gives this-

I don't get emails for Private message or posts on topics.   

I see now that on the Personal Messaging page of ones profile there is a box marked
Notify by email every time you receive a personal message: and the options are 1) Always
2) never 3) from Buddies only (I have no idea what a Buddie is).

In my profile option 1 is enabled which is why I receive emails alerting me to PM's. Presumably Rosie has option 2 enabled.

Apologies for causing confusion. I'll leave quietly before I say anything else that's incorrect.

Hello. My username is Lolly Willowes but I am a Davies. Yes, we do seem to have Jacob in common. My grandfather Herbert Jacob was son of Jacob 1829-1912,  who was the son of Jacob 1829-1897.
