Thomas Allan Heron Died 6th November 1918

My relative S/20694 Thomas Allan Heron of the 4th Battalion Gordon Highlanders died on 6th November 1918 and is buried at Angreau Communal Cemetery, Belgium.

Could anybody help and suggest which battle he may have been killed in please?

His MRI is mistranscribed as  Tomas A Heron but no Theatre of war is shown & he only received the British & Victory medals

His regiment is transcribed as London Regiment Gordns

MRI shows 14 Lond R Gordons

MRI shows 14 Lond R Gordons

He in fact received both the Victory Medal and the British War Medal -- his medal index card shows the Rolls number and page number for the Victory Medal and immediately underneath are 'ditto marks' for the British War Medal.

From what I can find on the National Archives for war diaries, the diaries for the 1/14 London Regiment (London Scottish) have survived. The diaries can be seen and downloaded free of charge after free registration by the link below:
