Hi I'm struggling to find any information on William Whitehead born 1850 Warwickshire living in Sheffield 1880 on one census his birth place is transcribed as earby common Warwickshire which i have been told on another site could easily have been transcribed wrong and be Hurley common this is as far as I can get. Can't find any birth records etc.
Any help would be amazing

working from the info in the opening post, I think we might need to start from this 1891 entry from Attercliffe cum Darnall, Sheffield district ? [as per Ancestry]

I had a suspicion about Alfred on the 1881 census as he seemed too old to be William's son and a Whitehead

Thanks all, I didn't have his second wife's last name so that's fab. You lot are brilliant it took me weeks to find Mary freeman and work out her son wasn't Williams  did any of you find any information on Williams mum and dad? On ancestry and FindMyPast it keeps taking me back to a family that don't link him to Sheffield
