Looking again there is a reference to 'Gibson's Oxfordshire Marriage Transcripts' earlier in the note and so it might come from there, if anyone knows what that means?
At first I thought it I referred to
Bishops' Transcripts and Marriage Licences, Bonds and Allegations: a guide to their location and indexes by J.S.W. Gibson. However, this book is just a guide, not a collection of marriage transcripts.
Then I searched further and found several references to
Oxfordshire Marriage Transcripts, 1538-1837 by J.S.W. Gibson, which sounds more likely.
I'm struggling to find where one can actually view this. The OFHS has an
OXFORDSHIRE MARRIAGES 1538 - 1837 index and they only charge £1.50 for a search (when details are provided), but I am not sure whether it is the same thing?
