Whatever superstitions follow us through our time it is interesting hearing the different versions,    no housework till 6th Jan, not sure about that but sometimes I wish a little elf would sneak in and do mine

12th night the decorations come down and that is probably why a spring clean is meant to be done ,

Since I had Covid first 2 weeks in November I have not felt right at all,  I have no energy, not sure if it is post  covid or not but my got up and go has got up and went, ( can't think who wrote that)  and I don't like it at all,  I have been diagnosed with gout in my little finger still  giving  me a lot of pain, and don't joke  about drink, I don't drink very much at all.

Take care everyone

LM

Just no housework on New Years day herejust checking my rota, getting cleaning done after New year will be difficult.  Bins not due to be collected for another 2.5 weeks and tip closed Monday, Tuesday and I'm working Wednesday, Thursday so going to have to store the rubbish until Friday

Think we are all suffering from lack of bin collections, it is frustrating but we have to put up with it, ours is due on Tuesday, we can  but hope.

No change to our collections, our refuse collectors don't work Mondays anyway so we're not affected by bank holidays. Except I suppose at Easter, I guess they work extra to catch up then and presumably the same this Christmas.

Our recycling bin was emptied on the day they said this week - basically the day after it would have been due to have been done. There’s a very nice man who runs between every drop on our estate . He was sporting a new cap and a new fleece type jacket under his high vis. I think Santa had been. He’s so pleasant and will wave to the grandkids if they're watching out of the window.
Our normal bin is due to be collected on the normal day next week.

It is not a very nice job. Hats off to the people who do it for us. Not forgetting the drivers who show far more skill than I have.

I second that MH,  this year they didn't come out in the snow,  previous years they came out but late and still people complained, my thoughts were,  would they like a member of their family out on treacherous roads, it was like an ice rink at the time
