Does anyone know the name of this place?

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one, does anyone know the name of this place? It is the 1861 census of some family members from Kent and Surrey way. Looks like maybe Rallens Lane but just not sure. I have heard of the other places my relatives have lived but this place I am not sure on so any info (if you have it) would be great.

It was taken in 1928.  Apart from the house I doubt it had changed much from 1861.  The area is very built up now.

By the 1871 census Pattens Lane only features one schedule and nobody from the travelling community.

Whilst you're deliberating this find "sam", if you open the 'extras' on the bottom R of the screen on FindMyPast = Transcripts. you might like to check/correct the efforts of the transcriber who records the address is Battens Lane, and many of the family have occupations of cutler. Should the latter be cutter?
Easy enough to submit a correction, but it takes time to be re-recorded by FindMyPast support team.

By the way, I always like to use Googlemaps - streetview&satellite imaging.

If you take a look centre of view it shows Pattens Gardens coming up from the south - still named Pattens Lane. However, you might notice the top end just beyond the junction (R) of Boundary Road it states 'Old Pattens Lane'. Perhaps the whole of Pattens Gardens were once the 'Old' section?
