Goalie's Jersey
« on: Wednesday 30 November 22 17:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys,

Might be a bit fiddly for you guys. The jersey was a present knitted by a fan and given to a player. He took one look at it and passed it onto his goalkeeper who he knew was daft enough to wear it. The shamrocks are emerald green and the rest of the shirt is white. The fans in the background wearing scarfs would be in green and white.

Thanks in anticipation.

Ian

My try. Hope it's okay, my colour vision's not the best.

John, if you have a similar tool in your software, there is a trick that might save your eyes a bit in future. I use Photoshop Elements which has a Colour Replacement tool. I first coloured the whole of the goalie's jersey green. Then, using this tool, I selected the "white" area for replacement of its colour, and then completely desaturated it. This did a reasonable job of changing the "white" areas from green to white. It did leave a few areas of green that needed to be white (the darker--shade--areas of the "white" that the colour replacement tool thought should be the same colour as the shamrocks). I then manually coloured those few areas white. Hope this makes sense.

Looks great. Well done! I think thats about the closest to the original jersey. Yes, you'd need to be a goalie to take it on. Thanks for your efforts. It is appreciated.
