John Frederick was "a sergeant in the Bankshall" in 1851 per Eliza's marriage record.

there are these baptisms at Fort William, Calcutta

19 Oct 1806 Ann daughter of John Frederick & Ann

8 Oct 1821 for Matilda, Dianna & James children of John Frederick of the arsenal dept and his wife Ann.

Also a son John baptised 12 March 1804 in Seringapatam, Madras, no mother mentioned.

Or perhaps not as there's a burial
18 Oct 1822 John Frederick 50 Pension Sergeant Artillery from Fort William
Unless Eliza was older than she claimed at marriage which is quite possible as on burial she's noted as 40
Fort William 27 May 1853 Eliza Faria 40 wife of George Augustus Faria, Preventive Service
