Thank you all for so much help.

In response to Bookbox The manuscript document is from Goldsmith's Livery Company and is I understand their original register of apprentices. Keldon has kindly dug out the Parish reference.

Thanks to Keldon for the Parish Register entry this is a big help.

Also thanks to Lady Di very helpful info. which I need to follow up.

Thank you too Watson for your suggestions.

Thank you all again for so much help. I am trying to complete the pedigree of this junior line of Wrights of Kelvedon and your input has been most helpful.

Any furhter info. most welcome.

Best wishes

Peter

Dear Friends

FYI

I have just heard from Librarian at Goldsmith's Livery Company who confirms the signatures in the register are those of the apprentices.

Best wishes

Hi,

Do you think the name Well? Was a poor attempt by the Clerk and should be Weald?

Richard Wright  married Martha. ?  According to her Will  Richard died intestate, so his estate would have been divided between his children:-

Anthony
Frances
Teresa

If you have access to Ancestry this is the Will of Martha Wright widow.

The will also gives names of other relatives.

Regards
Spendlove

Thank you Spendlove. Unfortunately I don't have access to Ancestry but this is a great lead thank you

I have found this reference:

'The Manor of Wallextons in Writtle in his own occupation; a messuage and farm called Wallextons alias Owsons in Writtle and Roxwell'

Could the strange lettering transcribed as 'Well' be abbreviaition for Wallextons I wonder?

Martha in her Will names sisters Frances & Mary Pulton, she also asked to be buried in Weald near to her husband.    Looking on Find a Grave St. Peter’s South Weald there is the following  info re Martha & Richard Wright.                                                         https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/143157080/martha-wright

Peter asked:  Could the strange lettering transcribed as 'Well' be abbreviation for Wallextons I wonder?

I would think you can rule that out, as Wallextons is not a parish.
