Hi,

thanks for your reply, thanks for all your information. I was looking for any information on the elder family after 1911 as i was having trouble locating Joseph Jr 1898 burial or any family he might have had.
I know Norah elder1906-1988 married David Campbell 1907-1994 in Limavady and  family burial plot in Enagh Limavady cemetery.
Joseph Sr Elder i believe was a butcher, I haven't been able to discover any more. Any help you can give me would be great.

Where is Aghadowey registration district did Joseph Elder die? The family lived at Gortfad, Garvagh, Killyvalley, Ballyagan then Ballinameen on the edge of Garvagh and earlier attended Main St. (2nd Garvagh) Presbyterian Church.

Regarding the deceased child listed in 1911 census- there was a son born & died 1905:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1905/01799/1705433.pdf
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1905/05606/4576140.pdf (premature- only lived a few hours)

Not sure if it was here on Rootschat or elsewhere but I do remember posting information on the family for a grandson of Joseph & Mary's son Joseph (born 1898).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi,

I believe he died on the 10th November 1944 Mullaghinch, Aghadowey. Was wondering where he was buried.
Yes we are looking for any information on his son Joseph 1898, we have no information about him only up to 1911 census, any information you know would be great. Thanks for all the information.

On Groni there are 3 death records pertaining to Joseph Elder. One is between 1931-1935 and the other 2 are between 1941-1945. One obviously is the father but perhaps one is Joseph Jr.
