Just seen this and it was a sad surprise.
We did not always agree but I could respect his superior knowledge and politeness.
A great loss to Family History research and RootsChat , especially.
Sincere sympathy to his family , with thoughts that he might be meeting those he has so carefully researched ,and brought out of dusty archives.
He deserves a lovely gathering with them.
We will miss your wisdom Guy.
Viktoria.

Sad news to read and extending condolences also to Guy's loved ones.

Respect for his contributions to genealogy, remembered in the forum here by many for his help and opinion readily given.

Oh no - I have only just seen this and I am so shocked and saddened, almost to the point of disbelief that I didn't know.

I took an on-line course with Guy many years ago and sort of thought of him as a friend. I am so very sad.

Thank you Bookbox for publicising this.
Rest in Peace, Guy - you will be so missed.
