Journalist in 1910

Hi, is there any way of finding information on journalists around Liverpool from 1910? Have a wedding certificate where the groom is listed as a journalist and author, also got him on the 1911 census with his wifes family but can find nothing else on him.
Have googled, searched on Manchester evening post, searched on ancestry and find my past, and coming up blank
Thanks for any ideas

That might be just how he describes himself.
Is he old enough to have an occupation in 1901?
Do you have him in 1921?

He is 27 on both the wedding certificate in Oct 1910, and on the 1911 census, and no I can't find in 1901 or 1921, even looked on commonwealth war graves as thought maybe he had died in the war, but nothing looking promising there

Does he name a father and occupation on the marriage certificate?

He does, the problem is the father listed is a well known/documented person, so can search lots of records around him and I am thinking he may have been illegitimate as not mentioned on anything relating to the father, or he lied about his father

If I have the right person, like you I can’t see anything for him earlier (or later at the moment).
There is a possibility for his wife in 1921. Do you have her and if so, how is she described?
There is a possibility too that she is in Yorkshire in 1930s and marries in 1940s.
All this is just supposition though.

Yes I have her, and yes in Yorkshire 1930's, curious, how did you know who I was talking about?

I searched
You gave his occupation and place so took it from there.
Does his wife describe herself as married in 1921?

Could be James Alan Hutton in 1911?
Born Lancashire Bury
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWT9-KWD
If so, what was his full name on the marriage?
Indexed as James M. A. A. Hutton
Just James M on the local index (Toxteth Park, Register Office or Registrar Attended)
