Kingston is/was an area south of the River Clyde in Glasgow. See https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=16.0&lat=55.85267&lon=-4.27003&layers=5&b=1&marker=55.85258,-4.27790 or https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NS5764 and click twice on the map to zoom in. I believe it is in the parish of Gorbals.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

So is mine :) but I have a long way to go with Australian geography.
