Hi Another convoluted question for you.
I was very fortunate, recently, to be given two photo albums found in a second-hand store. They belonged to my great uncle: Clement Wootten Lacey 1899 - 1985. It seems that he did a few Grand Tours, the most interesting being in 1924 where he accompanied Isabel McCorkindale. They seem to have spent some time in UK and Europe before travelling to USA. This was very much a working trip for her at least.
She is a very interesting lady for her time. Wiki article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isabel_McCorkindaleShe was born in Scotland but moved to Australia in 1900
I have several photos which might be her and even some that I think might be her extended family in Scotland.
I wonder if anyone here is connected to this family. Alternatively, do you have any idea whether these would be of interest to anyone? Apart from the general interest in the story and the photos of my own family, I don't really need to keep the hard copies of the rest.
The tourist photos are fascinating and there are also some images of the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley Stadium in April 1924
