celt11 - I think I've been making assumptions about the clip from a certificate that you put in the other thread (https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=865935.0), and I wouldn't be at all surprised if you've been wondering what on earth I've been on about. So I'm sorry for that, and I'm glad that others have been able to make progress in spite of what I wrote.

The format of the clip you posted showed that it came from a Scottish certificate, and I wrongly assumed it was a marriage - hence my asking about denomination etc, and wondering how you had a marriage in Ballymena. When you posted later that you only had death certificates the penny dropped, because of course Scottish ones give details of both parents. Anyway, now that I'm a bit more on the ball, I hope we'll be able to take things further for you.

I have found this baptism.

The mother’s surname is different but could be similar  ;)
2nd February 1840. John McRory to Michael and Margaret McNight.

https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633167#page/54/mode/1up

Another baptism to the same couple, same spelling, 1st October 1837, residence, Grogan.

Added
Margaret always seems to be McNight :-\
Marriage
21st October 1836
Michael McRory and  to Margaret McNight
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633167#page/92/mode/1up

Were they Catholic? I forgot to ask.

In 1881 your family are living at 7 Black Bull Close.

In the same census at 9 Black Bull Close, you have the Watson family.
Robert Watson and Susan b Port Glasgow (not sure this is correct).
There is a boarder, Sarah McCrorey b Port Glasgow too. :-\

Marriage 1870 Robert Watson and Susanna McRory
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1870/11389/8181636.pdf

Father is Michael and residence Grogan.

There is a baptism
28th February, Drumaul parish (transcribed as Merory) Susan and Margt Night.

Also
19th September 1852
Sarah McRory with parents Michael and Margaret McNight.

You can access these on catholic NLI site - Drumaul parish as earlier posts.

Scottish records might show more to see if all this relates to your family.

Not sure - different mother?

Added
I didn’t realise it was the same person. She looks to have given Susan as her mother on the first marriage. I don’t understand ‘McLaughlin’ though.
