It seems to have worked. Between 1875-78, Bridget was listed with the following addresses, but was also listed as living outdoors, so basically transient.

She was receiving out-door relief.
It means outside of the workhouse, not that she was on the streets. Her addresses are given.

Could be if he was alive and living in Swansea. His son and wife claimed he was deceased by then but I have no evidence of life or death.

Thank you for the clarification. I believe she eventually died in a workhouse.

There's a jail record of a Bridget Green b Co Waterford c 1844 being convicted of assault and beating of Johanna Hancock in 1890 and given 7 days. Her first offence. Described as married

Or it could be Michael junior, who was also a furnaceman on his marriage cert in 1888.
There are Militia papers x2 for Michael Green born Swansea. Same person?

Same Bridget. Her youngest daughter, Catherine, was also arrested. I don't know why it says married. Her name didn't change and there is no evidence of Michael or any man living with her.

Same person. According to his military papers he was born Nov 1867, same year his younger sister was born. In 1871 Census, his birth year 1865, Mary is 1867. Maybe the first census is actually wrong but that would be odd. Also he always claims to be born in St Josephs but Mary claims to be born in Waterford.
