Old Railway Crossing c1930's
« on: Wednesday 07 September 22 06:50 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am a member of the Broadford Historical Society and came across this photo of the level crossing at Broadford which looks like it was taken in the 1930's. The railway line is the main line between Melbourne and Sydney.
The crossing has long gone.
The photo is in pretty poor condition so I am hoping the wonderful people at RootsChat can work their magic.
Any improvement would be fantastic.
Regards,
Hilary

I would suggest a better scan in full colour mode.  Anyway, not sure what is what in the sky area, is it smoke from the loco or?

Another one. I agree that the sky was problematic so I invented one. It can be changed back easily if wanted.

I apologise for the late reply, I've been away.
Thankyou to all the fantastic people for your work. Any improvements from the original are great.
I along with members of the B&DHS are very grateful. We have the original but it's nice to have a better copy for research purposes.

Hilary
