Sorry William, i also dont know who Catherine Hayes married, if at all.  She was, as you probably know, on the 1891 census living at 1 Castle Terrace Flint.  I have not found her on the 1901.  If you find anything out, could you let me know please.

I was looking through www.fflint.co.uk and found the following entries in the industry section:

Slaters Directory 1859 - Mary Hayes Roskell Square, Millener and Dressmaker- she is the sister of Catherine.

I also found  under the Pigots Directory of 1822 for Flint the following Conway's

Surgeon - James Conway
Flour Dealer - Richard Conway

Slaters and Plasters 1883

Benjamin Conway Duke Street.

Are these people related to us??

Let me know if you need help with Lizzie Johnson or the Edwards i have quite a lot of information you may like.

Regards

Kimberly

The Benjamin Conway that you mention is listed on the IGI,as being born in Flint in 1820,the son of a Richard Conway and Ann Pierce.Although I am in contact with someone researching this line,I have yet to make a connection with our Conway Family.I can only speculate perhaps that the Richard you mention could be Benjamin's Father. As far as the James is concerned, apart from Edward and Thomas's Father, the earliest James I have was only born in 1808.

Looking in the Parish Registers transcribed by Clwyd FHS at Rhosymedre this afternoon,I found the Baptism of a Robert Ellis Johnson on the 25th of November 1807,listed as the son of John and Jane Johnson. However I looked without success for a Marriage of a John and Jane Johnson in Flint.

Hi William

Thank you so very much for finding Robert Johnson's father for me.  You have confirmed what i thought!

I have had a good look around your website and the many descendants of Edward Conway,  were the children of Edward born in Flint?

Do you happen to know when Richard Hayes died, there appears to be uncertainty as to whether he died in Flint or Widnes?

Anyway, will be in touch again.  Let me know what help you need from me

Kimberly

Thanks Kimberleyand yes,Edward Conway's descendants were all born in Flint till about 1850,when the family moved to Staffordshire. The only death I could find for a Richard Hayes, could be that of his son Richard born in c 1872.There is a death recorded in Flint of a Richard Hayes in 1901 aged 29.Have you found all those 13 children yet?It will tire me out adding all those to my Tree!

Thank you William. I am in touch with another cousin who has said he knows a thing or two about the Hayes Family, so will keep you posted.

It is rumoured that Edward and Caroline Johnson had more children, but as yet i havent been able to prove it.  I am working on the Johnson's at present, so i will give you all the birth and where know the death dates.  Be in touch again soon.

Their daughter Lizzie Johnson is also buried in the same cemetry.

Would you like some pictures of the Johnson's.  If so please send me a personal message and i will email them to you,

Turning to the Conway Clan, can you please tell me if Sarah Roberts, b 1815, married to Roger, was born in Flint?

Thank you

Many thanks once again for the info of the deaths of the Johnson children.I have to say;what a waste of a young life of George.I would be delighted to receive pictures of the Johnsons, you could always Email them direct,by pressing the Email symbol alongside my messages. As far as Sarah Roberts is concerned, until I see her on a Census,I can't really say where she was born.

Hi William

Havent forgotten the Photographs, will forward them on in due course.  There are one or two other Johnson Children i am finalising details on, so i will include them at a later date.

With reference to your wonderful website, are all the Conway birth dates taken from the Transcripts of the Flintshire birth records or census dates?

Take Care

Kimberly
