Hi again Treegirl,
Your post reminded me of a letter my husband's g.grandfather received from a sanatorium in Bournemouth regarding his daughter. My husbands maternal grandmother was sent there from the Midlands in 1899 to be cured of tuberculosis. The news in the letter was good "states no active disease found in her chest" and she could return home. Recommendations being that she should have a healthy, outdoors lifestyle for the next year or two. "Should there be a break down again she should return immediately. If all goes well for the next two years I see no reason why she should ever suffer from consumption again" I should also add Grandma lived to be 82
