Mary Ann Gillies married my great grandfather Alexander MacDonald in Alexandria in 1924 and she died in Glasgow in 1979. Her father Donald Gillies remarries to a Mary Ann MacPherson in 1913 after Mary McLellan Gillies dies in 1899 in Morven.
Alexander's family are from South Uist
I haven't quite worked it back through the ages as there are sooooo many MacDonald's
lol
I will keep an eye out for a Christy Gillies & Angus MacDonald on my searches
