My mother didn't have any brothers or sisters so can only assume it is her child. Is it possible that there is a mistake with this DNA match.
As mentioned, there may have been a sibling unknown to others.
If there was an error with your DNA there wouldn't be a match with your maternal line.
Do you know any of the people she matches with in your tree?
How much research have you done i.e. have you followed direct lines only or have you branched out?
Have you looked for any births with your g/mothers' surname which may show illegitimacy with no maiden name showing?
It may be an idea to send a message to your match & ask if she can tell you the names of her parents &/or g/parents as you're interested in finding how you connect.
Her lack of a tree may suggest she was adopted possibly?
