Date of a portrait?
« on: Sunday 14 August 22 07:23 BST (UK) »
Hello, I want to confirm the possible date of this portrait. I believe the subject of this painting is the daughter of a baronet and date to the first decade of the 19th century. Is the dress and hairstyle consistent with this suggestion? Location … probably Dublin or nearby.
Thanks
Peter

Thanks for the confirmation. My second cousin has this portrait and had assumed a later date and that it depicted a relative with a very similar name. I just wanted to check my thinking so that I can give her the correct name and dates.
