You could always try emailing them. It might take 6 months to never to hear back (they're snowed under with work I've heard) - but you don't know until you try :)

The inquest records relate to deaths that occurred  when a person died suddenly, was killed, died whilst in prison, drowned, died whilst a patient in an asylum, or was an infant ward of the state and died under suspicious circumstances, among other circumstances.

Do you have the death certificate for this person? I believe the name of the certifying person for cause of death should be the coroner in these cases. Also there is more likely a delay between date of death and date of the full registration.
