Townend/Rice
« on: Monday 13 June 22 10:20 BST (UK) »
There are three persons involved in my question:
1) John Hughes Townend -
    Born 1931 in York
    Married to J P 1958,but divorced in 1963 Approx.
2nd marriage to Jean L Arrowsmith
    Died 2001 in Harlow, Essex
2)H N Townend nee Rice as shown on the birth certificate for D T  born
1965 at 68 Hyde Way, Hayes, Middlesex.
3) I have no further information for H N Townend. No birth date and no marriage certificate
record that I can find. I can find no further records for H N Rice .
 Thank you

I think this is all too recent, and you have named names.
Please amend your post.

the 1939 register may be able to help with women to id later marriages/known surnames. Rather relies on them being deceased by now though.
Otherwise, electoral registers?

Did they for example emigrate?
Who was the father of D? Looking for a towned/rice marriage may reveal something more of the mother

looked for other Townend-Rice kids? D may have been at the  lower end of a whole raft of 'em, stared off in Yorkshire

2 people with Townend as a surname are on the electoral register at 68 Hyde Way in 1965.
(London Electoral registers dataset)
They don't appear to be transcribed though.
Do a search for Hyde Way 1965 and leave their name out but search for Morley and click on the next page.

I would suggest there may be a family connection but this would need more research.
