Thank you for taking the trouble to go and look for my great grannie’s grave. I was there a few weeks ago and despite searching I couldn’t find her either. I’m not sure if she’s with anyone as it was a really tragic story.
She married for the 2nd time in February (she lost my great Grampa 4 years earlier) and died 2 days after my Gran’s 8th birthday. She’d only been married 4 months. I not give up looking and trying to find out more.

The North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre in Motherwell is also worth contacting.

I obtained information from there on lair purchases in the old Welwynd Churchyard in Airdrie.
The archivist was very helpful.
It was pre lockdown/covid  www.culturenl.co.uk

This post is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws. Unfortunately my preferred method of writing (Parker Quink on Basildon Bond) cannot be used.
