there is a Johanna LOOPER who gets married in Capetown in 1897

unfortunately the SA marriage records don't tell you anything!
She signed her name, but not nearly as confidently as George Henry did.

Good Evening all thank you very much for the information you have put on the page

Yes I am looking for information on the looper side of the family

GG Grandfather George Henry Looper was born in Cape Town 1861 Died 1905 London and was a Mariner
On the passenger list in 1902n at  the age of 41 he went back to Cape Town and Occupation was Mason
I remember my Grandmother telling me a story that she waved to her Father who was on a  ship and never saw him again but he died in London uk in 1905

Looking  to find his Father George Henry Looper Mariner (born ?? and Mother (no name) and unable to find any birth or marriage in the uk or on any Passenger lists for them

If you look at the original image you will see that the name is J. COOPER, not G. LOOPER.  The passengers' surnames are in alphabetical order so I don't know how they have managed to mistranscribe it.

Henry is on the electoral roll at Cressy Place in 1904/1905 and Sarah is still there in 1911, so someone is telling stories.
