If I am reading the obit correctly, it has Mary’s age at death as 90. That gives a birth year of 1849. However, it goes on to say that her folks arrived in Australia 1860 and that Mary was born in Australia. I think the confusion was due to Lachlan having arrived from Scotland in 1860. 

An online tree has her born in 1848, Bungonia, Goulburn:

The Findagrave for Forbes Cemetery shows quite a bit of information on the children of Lachlan and Mary who are buried there. Poor Lisle came to a sad end.

Just found an online tree which is very informative. Do a search for: lachlan Kennedy married mary McDonald

It has the parents and siblings I gave for Lachlan born Scotland. It has him in Australia with sister Flora, only. She married in Wagga to a Thomas Fitzsimon. She died 1873, but on NSWBDM her folks a down as John and Mary. There is a photo of her with her hubby and brother Lachlan.

This is what I think re: Mary McDonald based on her suggested place of birth:

There is the following marriage which fits with Mary’s parents:

352/1847 V1847352 32C MCDONALD Alexander to MCCALLUM Christina code MC

MC Church of England Bungonia; Goulburn; St Saviour's (Co. Argyle); Goulburn Plains; Lake Bathurst; Marulan

Cameron genealogies has these folk as Mary’s folk. It has Alexander’s death as 1873 WAGGA, but I can’t find it on NSWBDM.
