Hi
My 4 times great grandmother was Elisa Stoops (I think this is the correct name) was married to Bernard Duffy in Armagh Jan 1818. I think from my familes research the father of Elisa is Richard nad there was a record of him being in the 26th Or Camerian Regt Of Infantry Alsmeide Armagh. Is this right?
Wedding Certificate

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction?

it might be Stocks as you indicate. Bear in mind that many Catholic registers do not start till later than this period so there will be other Bernard Duffy's who are not listed. Armagh is the Cathedral city when you click on the map
https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0184
and view all the surrounding parishes you will see that their registers do not start till the 1840's so you need to be sure your Bernard was from Armagh City.
Richard Stoops WO97 Chelsea Pensioners British Army Service Record is on Findmypast (and likely on Fold3 Ancestry) 26th Regiment Foot or Cameronian Regt of Infantry, attesting at Londonderry 9 May 1812 aged 20 but born "in the Parish of Allsmeed in or near the Town of Armagh" he was a Colour Sergeant. No idea of where Allsmeed is, is not a Civil or R.C. Parish near Armagh. He was previously enrolled in the Royal Lanark Militia at Glasgow in Jan 1808. Final Discharge 11 Dec 1833 - intends to reside and receive his pension in Sheerness [Kent, England]

I doubt Richard with the service record is the father of Elisa as he is not old enough [born 1792] to be the father of a circa 21 year old 1818 and was likely not in Co Armagh, being elsewhere in the Army

(record just mentions served 4 years in Gibralter).

I can confirm that the son Bernard "Neal" Duffy was born in the 1818, he would be my 3 times great grandfather. I have a copy that the father was the Bernard who married Elisa,
It gets difficult after Elisa, would the name definitely Stock's?
