Unaccompanied Minors Travelling in 1921
« on: Wednesday 11 May 22 12:31 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Can anyone think of a reason why 2 young girls age 15 and 13 would be travelling from UK to South Africa by ship 3rd class in 1921 without any adults with them?
Thanks
K

Were their parents in South Africa? They might have been going home from boarding school in the UK.

Were their family living the UK or South Africa?

Was it a one way trip or can you see them travelling from SA to the UK at any stage?

Likely to be for schooling as suggested by Isabel or visiting relatives.
