Here's a video of various products that were used to remove adhesive from acrylic - result finds WD40 the best

Hope it comes alright L.M.

Just sent my order to Tesco, a nuisance in one way as I pay for delivery for six months but if orders are under £40 then I pay again!
I am so stocked up with tissues ,loo rolls ,tinned goods I could open a cotner shop!
Phoned sister in law today ,her 84th Birthday ,I am a year older,or will be later in the month.
Flash Harry will be 6 ,his Daddy - my  grandson - and FH’s Mummy will be 30 on 18 and 27 of this month.
Sister in law was born on her Dad’s birthday after three boys.

We have always got on.
She was my Bridesmaid.

Raining now ,so cooler.
Off for a bath as changed the bed linen this evening .

Hope everyone is well or at least improving .
Goodnight .
Viktoria.

Yes Viktoria,  my idea of heaven , hair washed, bath, clean sheets and Jim jams and off to bed, that was when  I  was much younger limited to one bath a week,  now I can bath when  I  like  but it is such a nice feeling to slip into clean  sheets

After quite a  hot day  yesterday it  looks  a  bit unsettled this  morning but the weather is  supposed to be  getting better

I disgraced  myself this  week,  had a jubilee meeting to go to on Thursday evening, I had a late  night the  night  before having been in london, we had  our meal and I fell asleep, made a phone call at  9pm  and  suddenly realised  I  had  missed the  meeting, to late, goodness knows  how  I  did that , not a soul  has rung to see if  I am still alive, I will have to confess tomorrow, no excuses  will tell the truth

Not a  lot going on here at the moment, have  a  nice  day  folks

Viktoria, do you get a grocery delivery every week? I get mine about once every ten days, the fresh goods last me through that time and I have lots of food in the freezer. I find frozen veg very convenient and they're just as, if not more nutritious. Must admit I'm not keen on frozen cauliflower but the root veg are great and even better, they're ready prepared!

I order everything I can with my groceries, such things as shampoo, creams and other toiletries, also things like paracetamol, antiseptic cream etc. It's so much easier than going around shops looking for these things. Tesco also do lots of household items, I've ordered towels, tea towels and kitchen items. I even had a pair of dumbbells delivered with my groceries.  ;D

I find that I'm soon over the £40 threshold and beyond. Of course a bottle of wine or two soon achieves that, if it's your thing.  ;)

I never buy online things I am “ finicky “ about.meat.cooked meat,bacon etc
Fresh veges and fruit..
I can get to the shops now and it is nice to do that.
Mostly I buy dry goods ,baking ingredients ,cleaning stuff, tinned stuff ,some toiletries.
No wine or alcohol ,don’t drink soft drinks only sugar free concentrated cordial ,I have it so weak a big bottle last for ages.
It is very convenient ,I have managed this week to get over the £40 so it is no charge except I have already paid £ 40 for unlimited priority slots for six months.
I usually shop every two weeks online.

Got more plants ,usually do neighbour’s containers for her Birthday, but If I do them now they will be in full bloom for June.
That reminds me, I get her a little treat each week ,it is in the fridge as she was not in her chair by the window- but sometimes goes to her daughter’s on Saturdays .
A bright day but deceptive,cold!
Got washing out, all ironed and airing on the maiden.

Sent Flash Harry’s sixth Birthday  card ,his present went down when they called a few weeks ago .
I got him the full set of Mr,Men books ,all 48 of them!

Not heard from Grand daughter re how she is with Covid .
Must phone again or send an email.

Surprise surprise, it seems my iPad is full!
No idea what that means !

Son and daughter in law off to York for their Wedding Anniversary.
Their 27 th.

Well ,just watching the Rugby ,Huddersfield Giants vHull Kingston Rovers, it is
rough!
No idea what to have for tea, don’t feel like cooking a big meal so perhaps an omelette but I did not get  a lettuce, to have a salad with it.
I like Iceberg but as dark green as possible. They were very pale in each shop.

No matter.I won’t starve.
Hope all are doing well, look after yourselves .
Thanks Roobarb .
Viktoria.

Our week ended with the much anticipated arrival of #3 beautiful granddaughter, all safe and sound and doing well. It was a week of going through the rhyme from Monday's child fair of face when we travelled up in time for delivery with daughter being induced on due date, Tuesday gracefully declined to be evicted, Wednesday mummy was a bit woeful, Thursday still had far to go! Friday still no medical urgency to intervene and hospital lovingly gave some time out for daughter to be with her other little girls for a few hours and reassess Saturday. Then one long rather hard day, pretty intense by evening and arrived with just 4 minutes left of her birthdate at 11 56 pm on 7th and in time for a wonderful gift for mothers day on Sunday. A bonny 9lb 3oz, very similar to her mum as a baby and like peas in a pod with her sisters.

Family had relocated to other grandparents across town end of week before, son in law managed to injure himself in the garden and required attendance of ambulance and now in recovery but needed TLC as well and his parents were already prepared for the little ones to stay over. He wasn't able to drive for a few days so he and daughter were both dropped off to maternity wing! … and he's going to be off work for 6 weeks.

Only designated visiting, just 2 per patient alternating times while on ward and 3 in delivery but had to be same 2 and one other, so son-in-law and myself and then husband and I went in the middle of the night for her first 3 hours. A bit trickier for other grandparents with the girls and they all just got a peek through the windows on Sunday.

Rapid Antigen Tests required before visiting done on site and await results, first time for me but all good, every 3rd day but staff on reception Sunday seemed to think it should be every day even though it was just 12 hours since my previous negative. Also nurse who did my first one suggested I register my negative result, took me a moment to understand behind her mask, “have you got mycovidapp” sounded like a medicine! Daughter said anyone could submit a result for one other per day and as she was familiar with it did that quickly on her 'My Covid App' for me, no doubt many find it all too much trouble to bother or just don't care to and accuracy of numbers bound to be well out and probably the same everywhere.

Border testing procedure required before travel and open to more international travel now to the delight of many families who have been parted by restrictions for so long.

New week …
