Killyberry Crockett
« on: Tuesday 12 April 22 13:39 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any information on a James Crockett. I found on Griffiths, his daughters Sarah 1845-1921 married William Tomb, another daughter Matilda 1844-1890 married Martin Lucas, son James 1840-1879 married Ann Campbell and my 2nd gg. William John 1843?-1917 married Roseann Lee Magherafelt in Pittsburgh,Pa. On Sarahs marriage certificate 01/14/1867 it was signed by William John Crockett. Thanks!

Daughter Matilda's marriage tool place in Ballyscullion Parish (Church of Ireland) Church-

Daughter Sarah's marriage took place in same church-

Since marriages usually take place in bride's church that would be a good place to start looking for gravestones, burial records, baptisms, etc.

A James Crockett, Killyberry death- he's a widower so you'd be looking for a female Crockett death 1874 or earlier-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

There may be a Mawhinney/McWhinney connection/marriage,and on Matilda Crockett Lucas certificate theres one as a witness I cant read the first name. Thankyou for the death register of James.

In the 1831 census Killyberry there are 7 people, so I am wondering if James 1796-1874 is the grandfather?
