This seems to be the problem finding Annie and her son on the 1891 census not seeing Robert the father either .
They do seem pretty elusive

The birth certificate states Robert Christie was born 1889 Muirhead Street Partick birth registered by his Mother Annie Christie
Marriage certificate in 1914 states they were both single
Thank you Rosie
1901 census address 58 Castlebank Street Partick
Robert McInally age 31 born Ireland coal salesman
Annie McInally age 30 born Partick
Robert age 12 born Partick possible birth as Christie 1889
Rebecca 6,

Not that this helps finding Robert, Annie & Robert in 1891 not sure if this is going to confuse matters
Do these relate to the McInally family from 1901 census above?
