Hello all in Australia.   

I am hoping someone can help me with some information on a man who went to Australia in 1946.  He was born in 1920 in London.  In 1980 he was in an elctoral record Name:Walter Herbert Albert JewellGender:MaleElectoral Date:1980Electoral Place:Caboolture, Fisher, Queensland, Australia. 

I am searching for a friend who is related to him and family story is that he left the UK in a hurry as he was a bit of a bad boy.  He was not heard of again by the family.  She would like to find out if there are any relatives of this man still in Australia and about his life so she can tell the rest of the family before they get too old.

He is her uncle.  Even though his sister (her mother) is now dead there are several neices and nephews who wonder what happened to him.

I hope someone can give me some information for her.

In the QLD state archives there is a deceased estate file for a Mr. Walter H A Jewell, dated 2005.

He died on 4 March, “late of Ningi”

I have passed the information onto my friend and hope she manages to phone the archieves later today.  Not sure if we will manage to get any paper copies of anything but this really helps.
