Ruskie.  Thanks getting back regarding trying to find who lived in a house.
The house is 30 New Street Beaconsfield Tasmania, a miners cottage guessing
age would between 1880 to 1900s. Cheers .Lavender Blue

Gee Lavender, if I’m looking at the right house, (with a green roof) I would have guessed it to be around 1970 to 1980 unless there is something much older lurking behind the modern facade.

Other houses nearby look to be of a similar vintage. At a guess, I’d say that the house could be contemporary with the key.  :)

You can probably find out previous owners through contacting the local council who should be able to point you in the right direction.

Ruskie thank you for reply, so sorry my mistake house is 23 New Street not 30.
You mentioned to get previous owners thru council, as Beaconsfield is only a small town
would they hold rate notices in Launceston, or Hobart?.
                                                                              Kind regards L/B

I think Matthew has given excellent advice on the following thread

According to Google, Beaconsfield is in the West Tamar Council  LGA.  Here is their website: https://www.wtc.tas.gov.au/Contact-Us

If I’m looking at the riht address, at what seems to be no 23 Google maps is showing some foundations (sadly), but I see possibly similar style character houses nearby, so no 23 is likely to be similar.

Follow Matthew’s suggestions /advice on your other thread.

Let us know how what you find.  :)
